Originally from Belgium, Ilse continued her education at prestigious institutions such as Harvard and Cornell, where she obtained leadership certificates that have informed her practice. Growing up without a left arm, has taught her resilience and self-acceptance. She refused to be a victim of her circumstances and chose instead to see her prosthetic arm as a symbol of strength and resilience, a reminder that she is capable of overcoming any obstacle that comes her way.
